Training throughout the year with focus and intent is crucial to hitting at a high level.  Hitting today is more difficult than ever due to two main factors:

 

1.  Pitcher's are just better!  All you have to do is watch a game at the college or MLB level to see this.  Advanced metrics and the evolution of training has led to increased velocity, along with a better understanding of command and shaping pitches.

 

2.  An incomplete understanding of what makes the individual player successful at the plate.  It isn't just exit velocity, launch angle, and barrel path.  It's a hitter's ability to be consistent in their process, which leads to sustained results because he has the tools to make adjustments.

When working with players 1:1 during the season, these are the questions that we ask as instructors - and the questions players need be asking themselves:

How are you making adjustments pitch to pitch, at-bat to at-bat, game to game?

 

Do your game swings match your practice swings?

 

Does your level of confidence fluctuate?

 

 

To be a complete hitter at the highest level, you need to be able to:

 

• Hit a pitcher’s best fastball

• Recognize and adjust to secondary pitches

• Have an understanding and command of the strike zone

• Adjust and have a plan for every count

• Recognize patterns, spin, movement, and trajectory

• Anticipate and react

• Drive the baseball off-gap and pull side

• Have a fearless approach with a forgiving swing

Ultimately, a complete hitter knows his/her keys and can control their thoughts and emotions in high pressure situations.  Most importantly, a complete hitter knows what adjustment to make and when, pitch to pitch.  Hitters who are hopelessly searching for answers are going to be the hunted instead of the HUNTER!

 

Utilizing The Futures App for video breakdowns, drill recommendations, and chat feature, this program allows for consistent communication and instruction throughout the season - regardless of being in person or not.  

 

While everyone in our program can benefit from the Complete Hitting Program, this is not for everybody!

Who it is for:

 

• Players who are committed to working on their craft regularly (outside of structured practice) and have the focus necessary to compete in every at-bat of a game, regardless of the situation.

• Families who will upload and send game video of swings on a weekly basis.

​​

• Players who are committed to a process and proactive in their approach - not reactive (waiting for something to go wrong and then trying to ‘fix’ it).

 

 

Who this is not for:

 

• Players who are looking for quick fixes.

 

• Players unwilling to commit to a structured plan.

 

• Players who won’t execute weekly feedback.
