
MINI MASHERS PROGRAM
OVERVIEW
Learning, teamwork, skill development, and having FUN are the primary components of our Mini Mashers program.
Diamond Club Baseball’s Mini Mashers Program provides players with the opportunity to learn the right way to play baseball from a young age. Players will learn about the game through our specialized curriculum designed to teach baseball fundamentals and rules. In addition, players will develop confidence and learn about teamwork in a fun, energetic environment.
Program Highlights:

Coach Pitch and Modified Kid Pitch options (5U-8U).

Paid instructor to lead practices that are run like camps: small groups, fast-paced, lots of repetitions.

DC trained volunteer parent coaches for games/practices.

Max roster size of 12 to keep the kids moving, get more at-bats, etc.

Two practices per week with skill stations.

Practice times/days may vary by team. Typical practice days are Tuesdays and either Thursdays or Fridays.

10-game season on Saturdays (April-early June).

Opening Day festivities celebrating the players and the great game of baseball.

End of season tournament.

Player fees range by level and the listed fees above include the initial $100 registration fee.
All players will receive a uniform top and cap but must provide their own baseball pants, belt, socks, etc. Players must also provide their own glove, bat, cleats, and helmet.
All teams will practice 2 times each week, with games on Saturdays. Games may be scheduled during the week after Jefferson County Public Schools is on break for the summer. Sundays may be utilized for any make up games needed. Practice days and times vary depending on the team.
**With permission from DC, players may play up in age but at NO time may players play down in age**
AA - COACH PITCH (KINDERGARTEN)

Players may not be more than 6 years old as of 4/30/25.

10 league games are typically held on Saturdays + end of season single elimination tournament.
-
Games will be 5 innings or one hour and fifteen minutes.
-
1 paid teenager will umpire each game.
-
Each team will have all kids in the batting order.
-
All players will play in the field on defense (C, P, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS and all remaining players will be in the outfield).
-
Each team may send 9 batters to the plate or record 3-outs per at bat or half inning, whichever comes first.
-
There are no walks. Each batter will receive up to 6 pitches from the coach. If the ball is not put in play on the 6th pitch, the batter will hit from a tee placed on home plate.

All volunteer coaches must successfully complete a background check and be concussion compliant.

Two one-hour weeknight practices per week.
AAAA - MODIFIED KID PITCH (2ND GRADE)

Players may not be more than 8 years old as of 4/30/25.
-
10 league games are typically held on Saturdays + end of season single elimination tournament.
-
Games will be 6 innings or one hour and thirty minutes.
-
1-2 paid teenagers will umpire each game.
-
Each team will have all kids in the batting order.
-
All players will play in the field on defense (C, P, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS and all remaining players will be in the outfield).
-
Each team may send 9 batters to the plate or record 3-outs per at bat or half inning, whichever comes first.
-
There are no walks. Each batter will receive up to 6 pitches from the pitcher. If after the 6th pitch a batter has not put the ball in play or struck out, a coach will throw 2 pitches to the batter until the ball is put in play, swing and miss, or watch it go by.

All volunteer coaches must successfully complete a background check and be concussion compliant.

Two 90-minute weeknight practices per week.
AAA - COACH PITCH
(1ST GRADE)

Players may not be more than 7 years old as of 4/30/25.
